 Intro to Oil Painting Workshop
Ability: Beginners, Ages 16 and up
First time painters will love this introductory workshop that explores the beauty and fun of oil painting! Students will learn about oil painting materials and will complete a work of art they can be proud of in 3 hours. The class will explore brushstroke, color, and innovative composition while maintaining sound representational technique. Students will learn by painting alongside the instructor in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Cost: $ 45, includes all materials for the day

Painting Your Creative Vision in Oil Paint Ability: All Levels, ages 16 and up
Dreaming of becoming a better artist? With Kirsten Savage's emphasis on content and composition, you will! She sees the potential in each student, and has the knowledge, technique and experience to point each student in his or her own direction. Savage tailors her instruction to meet each individual’s needs. Beginners will blossom and more advanced students will find that each class offers new challenges. Develop and strengthen your paintings inspired by a still life, photos or your imagination. Students will focus on composition, color, value, shape, and paint quality in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Group Lessons: $85/month
Class is 2 hours/once a week on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm My teaching philosophy
I truly believe that painting is a learned skill and that no one comes out of the womb being able to draw. Like anything in life, if you are passionate about it, you can learn how to do it. By watching live demonstrations, participating in an active dialogue about art, and by studying the masters, my students will gain the skills needed to make a successful representational oil painting.
